Brotherhood in Arms cic - Lets Talk to Local Business

In this episode of Let’s Talk with Local Businesses, Reg Lee sits down with Kelvin, the founder of Brotherhood in Arms, a men’s mental health support group dedicated to creating safe, non-judgmental spaces for men to talk openly about how they’re feeling.

Kelvin shares his own personal journey with mental health and the experiences that led him to set up Brotherhood in Arms. He explains how the group operates as a 24/7 support network, how it’s managed, and why community connection and trust are at the heart of everything they do.

The conversation also explores the organisation’s growing community partnerships, awareness-raising events, and ambitious plans for the future — including expanding beyond WhatsApp and developing a dedicated Discord platform to reach even more men.

This is an honest, powerful discussion about the importance of connection, teamwork, and encouraging men to seek support when they need it.

About Brotherhood in Arms

Brotherhood in Arms is a men’s mental health support organisation founded in March 2021 by Kelvin Farmer, following his own personal experiences with mental health challenges and living with ADHD. Created to raise awareness and break down stigma, the organisation exists to provide men with a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where they can talk openly about how they’re feeling.

What began as a small 24/7 WhatsApp support group has grown into a trusted community where men can access emotional support, advice, encouragement, and simply someone to listen. Brotherhood in Arms is built on trust, respect, and a drama-free environment, allowing members to speak honestly without fear of judgement while also finding positivity, friendship, and connection.

Alongside its support network, Brotherhood in Arms actively raises awareness through social media and community engagement. The organisation has expanded across multiple platforms, hosted charitable events, and worked closely with local partners to raise funds and shine a spotlight on men’s mental health. In 2025, Brotherhood in Arms was officially awarded Community Interest Company (CIC) status, reinforcing its commitment to community impact and long-term support.

Looking ahead, Brotherhood in Arms continues to grow its reach and ambition — developing new projects, hosting community events, and exploring additional platforms to support even more men. With connection, teamwork, and compassion at its core, Brotherhood in Arms is dedicated to ensuring men know they are not alone and that support is always available.
